Is the evil of our government a secular distraction?

What does this have to do with Jesus?

Is it a temptation to shift our focus as Christians?

These are the questions I have encountered from Christians.  My family has been ordered to leave a church because we have invited people to dinner and discussed what we believe about 9/11.

These are the questions we need to ask:

Why is the church siding with the government?

Why are our pastors promising to keep their people submissive under marshall law?  These are FEMA pastors:

I submit to you that you do not have the choice.  Whether or not you think this is a secular distraction, it will come to your front door.  Isn't it obvious that even the question ("what does this have to do with Jesus?") is only the luxury of a people who do not have marines invading their homes?

It is easy to speculate about the propriety of involvement when involvement is a choice.  The question becomes irrelevant when they make that choice for you.

i can't believe that they "ordered" you to leave!  that's a very ANTIchristian act.  were you standing up during the service and removing your clothing as you chanted?  did you attempt to chain yourself to the minister?  but, no, it was only dinner in your own home?

what church is this?  i'm sorry for your experience and anguish...and, then, i'm not.
"Blessed are you when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake."

i have tried to understand what a young man in the northwest is going through.  i really can't.  i really can't KNOW what is happening in your world and your mind.
what i can do is give you my time and my ear.  i can listen with an open mind, and that's what i'll be doing.  moreover, i can be there for you, without judgement(which i'm really not good at, anyway).

i retract what i've said to you in my previous comment...not because i feel it was wrong, but because i want a fresh start in understanding.  my feeling is that if i've made a comment, and you don't get it, i'm not getting you either.  true?
also...i, for one, was in no way suggesting that your belief is a secular distraction.
i couldn't qualify a statement like that.  what i was suggesting is that if you're going to be a warrior:  really know who you are, and know the propaganda(everywhere).  this will make you strong.

what is it about homeschoolers getting kicked out of church?

I got kicked out of one when I was twenty. They didn't like that I kept going to the bookstore and preaching to the lost (groups of occults who denied Jesus as God frequently appeared there) that we must believe in the Trinity. They said I was giving the church a bad name (they wanted it to be friendly).

What reading to you recommend on the 9/11 topic?
